Kennebunkport is a town that has attracted many tourists and they all seem to ask the same question- what should we do while we are here? Coming to a home with great food, scenery, and memories, here is a guide to help you along your way.

  1. Visit Walkers Point, where you will find the Bush Compound. Go ahead; take the picture! We know you want to, whether you’re Republican or Democrat.
  2. Take the tour out to Porpoise Point with Coastal Maine Kayak. This is a three-hour tour, and they are the only outfitter in town with licensed Maine guides.
  3. Kylie’s Lobster Tour is a place where you can learn all about the lives of lobstermen. You can learn all about traps along the Kennebunk River for one and a half hours. This is the perfect Maine outing!
  4. The Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge features the One-Mile Education Trail. This is great for stretching your legs out and you get to walk all over paths through salt marshes and forested uplands.
  5. Check out Home Ingredients and support the local indie shop owners. Here you can pick up cool gifts that would make excellent conversation starters or souvenirs.
  6. H.B. Provisions is for the coffee lovers, with a local feel. This place makes Starbucks look like a museum.
  7. Check out the Clam Shack- This is a stand up shack where you can order a lobster roll.
  8. Check out Earth- Kennebunkport’s rustic wood-fired restaurant at the grounds of Hidden Pond Resort. This is located 15 minutes out of town and gets fresh local food.
  9. Have some steak and lobster pizza at the riverfront restaurant, David’s KPT. Here you can look across the way and see the fishermen unload their catches while the sun sets in the background. How cool is that?
  10.  Make sure you stay at the Fontenay Terrace Motel to get rest for your next big day of adventure!
